Buyer guides · independent editorial note
Practical guides for sourcing automotive parts from China
These are buyer-side working documents, not marketing pages. Each one answers a single procurement question, states what it does not establish, and cites first-party sources so you can check the original wording yourself.
What these guides do—and do not—establish
Shanghai Auto Parts Gateway is an independent information site. These guides describe what an importer can prepare, ask and verify. They do not certify any supplier, product, factory or document, and they are not legal, customs, certification or product-safety advice. No guide on this site should be read as evidence that a particular company is qualified or that a particular part is compliant in your market.
Guides
-
What should an overseas buyer include in an RFQ to a Chinese auto parts supplier?
Seven groups of information that remove ambiguity from the part, the vehicle, the destination market and the commercial terms — plus a copy-ready RFQ header and how to compare the replies you get back.

What is publicly reported about the Shanghai International Auto Parts Permanent Exhibition Hall?
A source-linked summary of attributable public project material, separated from the procurement conclusions an overseas buyer still has to verify.

More guides are added as specific procurement questions come up. New pages are listed here and in the sitemap.
How these pages are written
- One question per page, answered in the first paragraph.
- Every factual claim attributed to a first-party source, with an access date.
- A visible statement of what the page does not establish.
- Revision rather than silent editing when a source changes.
